The parent understands that the prescribed BC learning outcomes must be met, and in doing so s/he prefers that for my core academic subjects (Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science) that teacher and parent roles are as follows:

a.	Teacher Structured: uses Ministry-approved, teacher selected learning materials provided by the NIDES teacher, some online and some print.
b.	Teacher and Parent Blended: uses both Ministry-approved, teacher selected learning materials as well as learning materials of the parent’s choice, in collaboration with the teacher.
c.	Parent Structured: uses learning materials that the parent chooses in collaboration with the teacher.
d.	Other: Parent prefers to discuss this with the teacher.

Students and parents will be provided with opportunities to participate in interaction days in various communities and locales through eclas, formal fieldtrips or school community events.

At the supervising teacher’s discretion, students will lose their eclass or interaction day privileges if they do not contribute appropriately to the social and academic opportunities provided there. Students with unique needs may require additional adult supervision at eclass or interaction day events.
